I Found it easier to remove wheel liner and wheel giving you more room to work just replace my wing after someone doing a hit and ru on my 7.5 golf
Fantastic video sir
Hi John sorry I can’t help with the wing removal hope your doing ok with your damaged Golf GTD.
Thank you from South Carolina, USA! We bought our daughter a used 2015 Yaris, and the hood would not unlatch! We didn't use saws, I just had her pull the latch and I lifted the hood. Easy! I appreciate you taking the time to post the video!
Thanks for watching USA friend. The Yaris is a very reliable vehicle and a small amount of grease around the hood latch should ensure no more unlocking probems. Best wishes from UK. b33zo
You done good, correct with the scaffolding, and theres 30 years of life in that render depending on your location, bloody good job 👍
Thanks for watching Mark and for your kind comments. It was an interesting job but I think one chimney repair is enough for the older gentleman... b33zo
No way did this actually work for me!!!! (It did) THANKYOU SO MUCH! Lifesaver 🎉
Thanks for watching Francis. Definitely worth a try before ordering a new window... b33zo

Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the help!!!

Thanks for watching Brian.
That’s the Radar on the front of the car for the Adaptive Cruise Control i own a 66 plate GTD there good cars good luck with your project.
Thanks for watching James. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Does the ACC gizmo just sit in the little housing completely uncovered? The grille was all smashed to bits so I haven't seen how its supposed to look. Cheers b33zo
@@b33zo yes it sits inside that small square cut out on the front bumper.
@@jamesharvey310 Thanks for update. b33zo
That sensor is for your adaptive cruise control radar on city brake! Getting it recalibrated might be expensive!
While you're playing with coolant, remove the silica bag from the expansion tank. These have been known to split and block the heater matrix. also tye wrap the bonnet release mechanism junction box to black metal frame (Near R/H headlight in engine bay) its attached too to prevent the housing from opening and ferrels popping out. Both of these happened to me in one go!
Thanks Ben I thought I had replied yesterday but it has disappeared. I'll have a look for the silica bag and check the bonnet release situation. The ferrels seem to replace self-tappers in numerous (limited access) locations. Guess they're designed to last 10-15 years. Nothing that a plastic tie wont fix. Cheers b33zo
They're great cars when they work. Real world fast, economical, and the adaptive cruise control is a gamechanger. Im on my fourth! When they work haha
Great vid. Ive been playing with my Mk7 GTD today. flushing the heater matrix and replacing bonnet latch cable. Fair play for taking this on yourself. Will be watching with interest how things connect.
Great video thanks for sharing your meticulous well thought out methods!
Thanks for watching HF. These panels look great but are quite complicted to fit - especially with the hopless instructions supplied. ATB b33zo
The EA288’s cooling system is a nightmare. I’ve got the Seat Leon mk3 fr 184. If you can’t pressure fill the coolant, you want to make sure to bleed the cooling system with VCDS, and want to be squeezing the various hoses whilst engine is at temp and expansion tank cap is off, squeeze the rad hoses, auxiliary pump for heating, matrix and mainly the hose running off from the expansion tank into the radiator for charge air. You’ll probably hear the pump running for a while and gushing around the heater matrix. Good luck and will be subscribing.
Thanks for watching Rudi and leaving your tips. I squeezed the hoses a fair bit when filling and ran the engine for 5 minutes with the cap off so hopefully most of the air will be out now. I don't have much experience with pressure filling. I'll keep an eye on the level before any test drive. Cheers b33zo
You're a great help kind Sir to all us novices in DIY land. I'll be watching out for more helpful videos in the near future. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Adrian and for your kind remarks. It's not really complicated. I think most of us DIYers underestimate how long a job will take and then those around us start growing impatient! ATB b33zo
What's happening to the Mk5 golf
Thanks for watching CC. The Mk5 Golf is still in use but only around town. The dual-mass clutch is really clattering, the worn out bush somewhere under the front end is still clunking and the other rear wheel bearing is very noisy...I hate to let the car go... b33zo
It won’t let me like the video.
Good luck with this project. It will be a great car
Thanks for watching Andrei.

Thanks for watching. Luckily I have spare time to take on this challenge. b33zo
I am looking to fit these type of panels. My walls are not very straight in the corner, so am wondering whether it would be best not to fit the internal corner and mastic up the corner where the two panels meet.
@wantingtolearn2732 thanks for watching. To be honest to get a decent joint in the corner you still have to prepare the panels in a made-to-measure way. I would spend time on straightening the walls by plastering first and then the panels will go on nicely. Good luck with your project. b33zo
@@b33zo thanks.
Hi. I have a similar issue with a crack in one of the panels in my shower. Just wondered whether or not it has stayed waterproof and if youve had any trouble with it since? Would you do the same again or something different?
Thanks for watching Andy. As far as I'm aware the repair is still waterproof. The difficulty with a split is how to add material into the hollow section. As you saw in the video I (accidentally) made the hole bigger which gave access - but made the repair look more noticable.. Gentleman below (@kenn1936) suggests applying matching colour nail varnish to the split which might be worth a try. Good luck. b33zo
From San Diego Ca USA best video I’ve seen on this topic.
Thanks for watching Alejandro Miranda. I guess doing the job properly in the forst place is the way to go! Best wishes b33zo
showed absolutely nothing, including how you installed the taps on the bath wedged up against the wall.
Thanks for watching Scott.
hi great work ,no need for cement to hold the toilet in place ?
Thanks for watching. The fixing kits available from Screwfix etc are more than adequate if you're putting the pan down onto a flat surface. Silicone added to the base of the pan before screwing it down adds to the overall stability. ATB b33zo
GREAT REMINDER HAVE A EXTRA BLEEDER SCREWS BEFORE STARTING THE JOB
Thanks for watching Elmer. Yes, I bought a pack of 10 although I never intend using them! b33zo
Just to confirm, when you say "left" on the hinge, that is left from the perspective of looking in the window from the outside? Also, since the hinge coming off was 17mm, how come making it the same size with the spacers was too big, but it fiitted on being 13mm?
Thanks for watching. 'Left' in this case is from inside the roome. The hinges are clearly marked with a 'L' and an arrow showing direction of opening. The fittings include spacers just incase you need them. b33zo
How wonderful to get your videos. Always inspirational. John Is there a way to contact you besides RUclips comments? I admire everything you do with the patience that you have. Cheers from Florida Vermont and São Paulo
Thanks for watching Bill. You could probably find me somewhere on facebook. b33zo

The angle set on the bevel for your top cut will be the exact same as the upright of the bird mouth cut, then just 90 degree off that for the seat cut of the bird mouth…… cut one rafter and then use that as your pattern, tip from a chippy myself 👍 good job 👍
Thanks for watching Joe. Good tip. You wouldn't think I worked with roofing gangs in Queensland for several years chucking up hardwood rafters... Happier days. ATB b33zo
Did it solve the customer’s problem?
@Pigchee thanks for watching. Yes 100% solved. b33zo
I so prefer the old fashioned parts and not all the plastic fittings
Thanks for watching Nicole. I agree. There have been lots of advances in plumbing methods but somehow everything seems a short-term fix these days. Cheers b33zo
Great work B33zo. Really nice neat work
Thanks for watching Amir.

THanks for watching Amir and for compliments. Car mending videos coming soon! b33zo
Good job! 😄 They're trickier than they look.
Thanks for watching James. Yes, I certainly made hard work of it! b33zo
You sanded the chip=hole with coarse to fine wet dry sandpaper. I do not see where you filled the hole with anything? My acrylic-fiberglass shower wall is brittle under the smooth surface so I have a hole to seal.
Thanks for watching Dave. Working on this fairly good quality bath there was no need to fill anything. There's a very shallow depression in the fiberglass that is just as glossy as the surrounding areas. Invisible to anyone who didn't see the process. b33zo
@@b33zo that explains it. My situation has a hole all the way through the acrylic/fiberglass to where there is a gritty material underneath. You were fixing a shallow depression blemish whereas mine is a hole that needs to be filled. thank you for clearing that up.
@@MessiahWordsOnly There's a product called Milliput that might solve your problem. Worth checking out. Good luck. b33zo
Hey! I recently followed this. Just wondering, I drained and saved the gearbox oil. But when I go to fill via plug it's not taking back in what I saved, full after about half? (Car on jack front stands still)
Thanks for watching. When the oil starts running back out of the filler plug you know its full. There are various suggestions from other correspondents about rotating the wheels etc which may allow a few tea spoons more oil into the box but I dont know if that works. From memory the gearbox capacity is somewhere on the VW website. ATB b33zo
Again, thanks very much for the vid. Thought I'd messed up completely when the plastic fittings came apart! Thanks for saving the day!
Thanks for watching Dave. The instructions make the job more difficult than it really is.. b33zo
What song is this? 😍😍😍
Thanks for watching! I believe the melody is an Irish folk tune and the heartfelt words 'Danny Boy' were added by Fred Weatherly. 'Danny Boy' has been covered by many recording artistes including Helmut Lotti. b33zo
Omggg amazinggg 😍😍😍😍
Best video, well done sir 👍
Thanks for watching JD. Hope you got your bathroom finished... b33zo
@b33zo yes sir it is finished very nicely.
